Have a job

The "future" is so my present. On December I'm gonna finish Cinenema and tv carreer. I don't know what will be the way to continue to finance myself. In the present I work digitizing different analog format of  the video. I am really interested in general about the cinema conservation and preservation, in my carrer is not an formal area, I never had a subject in relation to filmic conservation and preservation but I had a interchip into the cineteca of university of Chile and there I learned about process that I want keep studying, maybe the next year I will start studying a diploma in archival and library sciencethe  and then in the future future future have a job on any library, film library or a museum. This places ares the only places like "office" that I would like work.

In the carreer that I studied the focous are on the investigation of the comunication, make movies or any audiovisual production but I'm not really interested in participating in big canonical productions, I like have my own time to create, and I prefer the low cost underground cinema. I want keep making my underground videos, and maybe win any public contest and this way make money. Is not in this moment a worry for me the topic of job.
For some years I have managed to become independent and in the next few years I intend to continue living in a humble way, with time to make my art and without bosses.
Regarding the question of travel, I would like to live in another country and consequently my art will be influenced but I cannot imagine traveling for a job, I doubt that it is a possibility.

  1. I think that your interests are a vital need for cinema, it's so necessary to keep researching and archiving and restoring old found material.
It's really good to know that there's still people taking care of it.

  2. I think that the materiality of cinema has something that perhaps has been lost a bit over time and it is the affection for the material that can be seen, touched and revisited. I would like to see your creations:)

  3. I had never met someone in the career who wanted to dedicate themselves to what you say, about conservation and preservation of archives, I think it is very necessary.
